It takes place in Kansas. Dad built a well. They meet a neighbor. At the end of the book they watch the government is laying the Indians from their land. Yes, it's a good book for children. This is an excellent window into the past.

Who knew? Little-known Dr. Seuss stories found
SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - It's a new book with a new look that uses weird words like "zook". "Being in La Jolla where Dr. Seuss lived, it just has a special feel, that an author from our hometown has come to light again after all these years," Warwick's children's book buyer Jan Iverson said. Seven lost stories by the children's author, whose real name is Ted Geisel, have been bundled together and released in "The Bippolo Seed and Other Lost Stories". A new read called "The Bippolo Seed and Other Lost Stories" from children's author Dr. Seuss hit stores Tuesday. From a gluttonous duck named McCluck to Gustav the growing goldfish, the latest Dr. Seuss read is planting a new seed of imagination in bookworms young and old.The Art of the Grand Gesture: Have Yourself A Merry Little Book ...
And all Kindle books are accessible on it, as are Google books, etc. It has enough flexibility to make it functional for such critical tasks as e-mailing, sharing your vacation photos with everyone in your address book, and it's ever so easy to download a complete novel. My Asus netbook cost 2,5 times less than the cheapest IPad and it's a real computer with a real keyboard. On the spur of the moment, an iPad owner can access something to read, and at a lower cost than purchasing a hard copy. As long as iPad owners understand that they have an e-reader function among the many apps, we as authors have to hope that they'll take advantage of that ability. Granted, a Kindle is a fine e-reader, but the iPad does more. My netbook is also smaller and a lot easier to carry around than an Ipad. The IPad fits nowhere except in a backpack or a briefcase.

Just in time, a mini savior arrived in the mail, “ The Little Book of Indoor Golf Games ” by Adrian Winter. The book touts “18 Surefire Ways to Improve Your Game at Home or in the Office. ” I wish the author would offer a money back guarantee (the book costs $10. Another game, Clock Golf, requires you to knock down tees set up at every hour from 1 p. m. to midnight three feet from the ball in the center of it all. The names of the games – like Slalom golf, Minefield, Space Invader and Knockout – are just as creative as the theory behind each one. I love fall – with football and the changing leaves – but I hate what it symbolizes: The end of golf season. Most of the games require just a putter, a handful of tees, a ball and sometimes, a line of string. Better putters can push the clock tees to five feet to see if they can knock down all 12 in a row without a miss. In the game Moneygolf, your simple objective is to stop a ball on a dollar bill....
