Are you supposed to wash new receiving blankets for your baby before you use them?

You're supposed to wash everything the baby will come into contact with. Dyes and other irritants in these articles can be harmful to the baby and can cause a rash. Dreft or All detergents are best for babies.

What can I do with all my baby blankets?

I am cleaning out my closets for the winter, and I realized that I have about 15 baby blankets for my daughter. They are not receiving blankets, they are like crib blankets. We will not even use half that many. But, I am loathe to part with any of them
i would pick a few and donate the rest, they were given to you because they thought they were needed so you should give them to families that do need them :) no need in them taking up room and collecting dust.
