Help with baby girl clothes sizing?

I was tonight at Wal-Mart and finding new things for my DD as it warms. She is currently 6-9 months, but more and more to all this (she is 8 1 / 2 months). I have not seen anything (I mean NOTHING) in 9-12 months.

ive never seen a dress size 9-12 months for boys or girls.

they range from 6 to 9 months, then switch to size 12 months. its strange, but true.
youd think that designers would baby clothes size 9-12 months, but nope!

Does your baby have more clothes than you?

My 7 1/2 month old certainly does. I just sorted through her wardrobe today and tried some 9-12 months clothes on her and she has around 40 outfits! I always buy things in the sale for her as does her Grandmothers.

Would you buy clothes size 6-12 months or 12-18 months. We have a huge family vacation planned for next June (June of 2011) and I am looking to buy her clothes on clearance right now so I don’t have to pay full price for them next year. All of my sons have been smaller babies – in the 7 lb. range and have fit into their designated clothing size. You dont’ want to buy clothes to early. My son was a long baby and keeps growing and growing. Next June she will be 9-10 months old. I would still wait to buy her clothes. He is now in 9- to whatever it is. And that the clothing sizes are just estimates but my daughter is twice the size that the clothes say she should be. She just turned 6-Months last Monday and is wearing 12-month clothes. My 6-Month Old is wearing 12-Month clothes, is this normal. An overweight baby is a baby who gains weight far out of proportion to her growth in height. Is this fairly normal or is she a VERY BIG baby. By the way, at her appointment she came in at the 92% height, 89% weight, and 73% head circumference. (I know my due date was right because blood tests showed zero hcg levels taken on the day of my LMP of the pregnancy. The infants who continue to be overweight as children and adults usually have parents, siblings, or grandparents who are overweight. Some physicians wait to make changes in the diet until the child shows signs of being overweight. I already bought her a convertible car seat because she her legs were too long for the carrier car-seat. She doesn't look overly FAT or disproportionate but......
